What does wander actually mean? “to move about without a definite destination or purpose”. Who says that those who move about without a destination or purpose are lost? Who are we to judge what their destination is or should be?
I think that we all have our own unique paths in life and just because one’s path may differ from another person’s it does not mean that they are “lost” or gone astray.
Another definition of wander is “to proceed in an irregular course”, as mentioned above to who’s irregular course are they referring to? There are so many individual compelling people in the world that if we were all to follow the same “path” life would be so boring and predictable!
I feel that sometimes when people don’t look like we do, talk like we do, dress like we do or even act like we do they are often labeled as “lost” when in fact we may be the “lost” ones.
So next time when you walk down the street and see those colourful charismatic people wandering around, don’t automatically assume the worst and judge them, maybe we are just as lost as they are or maybe even more!

I agree fully!!"Different" or "lost" does not have to translate into "bad" and "weird". It is much easier to judge than to be judged!
ReplyDeleteI like your way of thinking. They say, don't judge a book by its cover. We all judge the people that are different from us. You are right, we must not judge other people.
