The Colour of the Wind

The colour of the wind is forever changing.

As quoted from A walk to Remember, Mandy Moore says, love is like the wind, I cannot see it but I feel it.

To me this is a great example of the colour of the wind. I think it is our moods and attitude that dictate the colour of the wind to ourselves and influences the way we see and interpret each and every day.

On a sad miserable winter’s day, I think the colour of the wind is grey. On a crisp autumn morning the colour of the wind is burnt orange, on a peaceful spring morning the colour of the wind is green and pink and on a hot summers day I hope there is wind! If there is wind it would definitely be yellow and red!

However, if I am in a sad mood on a hot summer’s day, the colour of the wind would not be yellow and orange it would be grey because I would be seeing the wind according to my mood and feelings and not the way it should be.

Only those with imaginative and creative minds can really see the true colours of the wind.

Watch This Space

On Saturday night Andy and I were hungry so we decided to ordered Butlers Pizza, they told me it would take 2 hours to deliver as they only had 5 drivers and they were really busy. I told them I would collect it as we were starving and didn't want to wait another 2 hours before we ate.

About an hour later we tried calling them, but both their numbers were off the hook, we must have tried calling for at least 20 minutes. We then decided to go to Buttlers to see if our pizzas were ready.

When we arrived there were about 30 pizzas waiting ontop of the oven and 4 teenage staff members doing nothing but sitting on their cellphones and looking pretty! When I enquired about our pizza they told me it was ready and cold so we received a 25% discount.

When I asked them why they hadn't called me they just ignored my question. I told them they shouldn't leave their phones off the hook which was really annoying since we were hungry and couldnt get through to them, they never responded to this question either!

This left me with such a bad impression of Butler's Pizza and I am reluctant to order from them again! I hope businesses realise that customer relationships are imperative and that it is far easier and cheaper to keep an existing customer then it is to find new ones!

Watch this space, I am not done with Buttler's, Hello Peter, here I come...

If I were the boss…

If I were the boss I would like to be chilled and relaxed! Yet I know I am sure I would be strict, evil and everyone would hate me! No I am only kidding!!

If I were the boss I would want to have patients, understanding, be a good leader, lead from example and oh, did I mention have patients?

I would start work late…and of cause end early! We would have a T.V room where all sports and news could be watched. Meetings and other “house work” would be conducted in a relaxed manner, not at a board room table, but rather on beanbags and pillows!

I think on Fridays we would end work extra early, but not before we all enjoyed an ice cold bear! I would never give my employees “homework” as long as they completed all their tasks during working hours! I wouldn’t mind what my employees wore to work or how they presented themselves! All I would care about was the standard and commitment of their work!

I would insist on having a gym at work, it is the best time to exercise and let off all your steam and get all your frustrations off your chest! I would insist on all employees taking a lunch time brake as well as two tea brakes a day!

I would be a very approachable boss… my door would always be open! I would also be very encouraging and advice friendly.

But I guess if I were the boss of this organisation it probably wouldn’t last very long!!!!
